Betty White In Guiness Book Of World Records

91 year old Betty White has been awarded a Guinness world record for having the longest television career for a female entertainer in the industry. She’s been in the business for 74 years and appeared in everything from “The Golden Girls,” “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” to “Hot in Cleveland.”

Betty responded to this achievement by saying, “The book has always been fascinating to me,”I can’t believe I’m now associated with it.” In all her T.V appearances, Betty says “Golden Girls” and “Pet Set” were some of her favorites.

It`s never too late to go after your dreams. As a child, Paula Shuman begged for skating lessons but her parents couldn’t afford them. As a young woman she finally took lessons, and was even offered a job with the Ice Capades. She turned it down for a more secure job in the medical field.

Two decades later when her children left for college she returned to the rink. She soon began competing and at the age of 59 recently won the Southern Connecticut Skating Club’s Pro Am competition for the 2nd year in a row.

The first tip you need to know for your first triathlon, is that age is just a number. Many triathlon athletes are in their 40s and 50s, so set aside any fear over age, as there are many ages competing.

Next, is that a wet suit, is very beneficial as it increases your speed by providing  buoyancy in the water.  Also, always remember to train for your weakest lag of the race. Ultimately, however, the psychological aspect tends to be the most difficult.

Most importantly remember to enjoy the scenery around you and realize that the race doesn’t really matter, the most important thing is getting through it and celebrating your health and fitness achievements.

Caring for her aging parents profoundly affected Rosanna Fay’s career in positive and negative ways. After continual health and other major crisis with her aging parents, Rosanna began to feel the strain on her career. She also realized how as a daughter, the burden of care landed on her much more heavily than on her brother, and how outsiders perceived that care based on gender was somewhat discouraging.

In the end she found that caring for her parents not only softened her, but taught her to appreciate life more. Although her career may have not turned out the way she had expected to, she learned a lot of valuable lessons in the process.
