Hockey In Your Swimsuit 

Looking for a fun new way to exercise? You could try underwater hockey...No, really, it’s a real sport!

Your age, size and gender don’t matter when it comes to this game, teams are often co-ed and contain players of all ages.

Underwater hockey combines speed, agility, strength and strategy, and according to one player, it is for people who are true athletes.  A real part of the strategy in the game, is knowing when to go up for air, and when to come back down.

For some this sport may be unbelievable, and almost laughable, but for others its a challenging sport, full of fun competition.

National Seniors DaySenior couple enjoying gardening as a social activity

August 21st  marked National Senior Citizens Day in the US. The day is in honor of senior citizens who have made positive contributions in their communities. It also brings awareness of the social, health, and economic issues that affect senior citizens.

Running Raw Around Australia

Janette Murray-Wakelin and her husband Alan are running a marathon a day. They are both in their 60s and fueling entirely with raw food, mostly fruits and vegetables and running the 15,500 journey in Australia.

August 19- Happy 50th Birthday to John Stamos. He played Blackie on the soap opera General Hospital, and is best known for his role as Uncle Jesse on the sitcom Full House. He also recorded and toured with The Beach Boys.
